The Client

Our client are a niche recruitment agency who work across perm and temp placements, specialising in the Arts sector. A small friendly and busy team in beautiful offices.

The Role

This role will be responsible for day to day finances of this unique recruitment agency with monthly and yearly reporting responsibility as well as working with the external accountants on the processing of a temp payroll on a weekly basis (c.50 temps) and an internal employee payroll on a monthly basis, both via Sage Payroll. The position will also be responsible for managing the interface and processing of auto enrolment pensions through Nest.

Main Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly and end of year accounts (for external accountants’ review at end of year
Bank reconciliation
Payroll (as above)
Credit Control
VAT returns
Company Expenses
Sales/Purchase Ledger
The Candidate

Our client are looking for an experienced finance professional (qualified or qualified through experience). Ability to manage auto enrolment pension scheme also essential.

Experience working in recruitment and or a micro-business (small business) would be desirable. Experience processing payroll either directly or supporting an external third party would be desirable. Candidates must have the ability to liaise with temps on tax or pension queries.

Candidates need to be self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail and good communication skills

The Terms

This permanent part time position is being offered at approximately 15, ideally worked over 3 days. The position could be office or remote based, however an in person interview would be required. Standard working hours for the business are 9.30am to 6.00pm.

A salary of c. £35k FTE* is available for the right candidate.
