Client

Our client is a premium pre-school music educator for young families in the UK. With over 30 years of experience, they are the leaders in their field.

The Role

This role comprises of liaising with the franchise network on all areas of finance and working closely with the outsourced finance function currently in place.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the candidate must be confident in presenting financial information and be able to manage fluctuating deadlines.

The duties involved are, but not limited to below:

Calculation and collection of monthly continuing fees from network.
Prepare and present management accounts to Senior Management Team at monthly meeting
Cash flow management and reporting.
Debtor and Creditor control – chasing any overdue accounts and ensuring payments are made within agreed credit terms.
Collate and analyse franchise year end accounts.
Raising sales invoices/credit notes as required.
Present training on credit and refunds to new franchisees.
Work closely with outsourced bookkeeping finance function, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
Monitor accruals and prepayments.
Make monthly salary payments and associated HMRC and Pension contributions.
Calculate and pay royalty obligations.
Assist with pricing of new product lines.
Advertising account analysis.
Provide adhoc numbers for BFA and Elite 100 Awards.
Managing the finance@ email address and dealing with queries in a timely manner
The Candidate

You will be commercially-minded, self-reliant and self-motivated and have a willingness to get stuck in to all aspects of a fast-moving growing business.

• A strong knowledge of Xero and Excel
• A high level of attention to detail, organised, trustworthy

• Inquisitive and analytically mind, constantly building and refining process with rigour and diligence.
• Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable

Knowledge of Fathom software
Experience of working in a similar role in the Franchise sector
Terms

The role is seeking circa 24 hrs/wk. The role is based in offices in Harpenden with plenty of free parking and some remote working will be considered. A salary of c£30k fte* is available depending on experience.

Holiday is 28 days including bank holidays pro rata. Holiday year is 1st April to 31 March and holiday will increase by 1 pro rated day for each complete holiday year of 1st April – 31st March, up to a max of 33 pro rated days.

There is a workplace pension operating.

*full time equivalent salary – actual salary will depend on hours worked.
