Part-time Finance Manager, Climate Advisory, 20 hr/wk, Remote/London, up to £35k fte*
Our Client
Our client is a specialist data, analysis and advisory firm focused on climate policy, carbon markets and the energy transition. The firm’s expertise builds on 30 years’ experience across research, consulting, strategy and industry M&A. They combine deep sector knowledge with leading edge analytical and forecasting tools to provide clarity and insight.
Managing the transition from an economy based on fossil fuels to one powered by clean energy is a unique global challenge, requiring unprecedented levels of investment and international coordination. Our Client has the experience to help their clients navigate the disruptions and opportunities that these changes will create. Their work is always thorough, impartial, and free of vested interests. They are currently seeking a part-time Finance Manager to join their small, friendly team.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO and Chief of Staff the role manage the day to day finances of the business including:
Management accounts in Xero
Supplier payments
Payroll reporting sending to the accountant to process
Filing deadlines for HMRC
Report drafting for R&D tax credits and liaising with the accountant on this
Details and drafting of paperwork for EMI share option scheme
Cashflow analysis
The Candidate
You will be commercially-minded, self-reliant and self-motivated and have a willingness to get stuck in to all aspects of a fast-moving growing business.
You will also have the following skills and attributes:

Be part-qualified or QBE
A strong knowledge of Xero and Excel
A high level of attention to detail, organised, trustworthy
A great team player with a flexible approach
Enthusiastic and self-motivated
A positive, can-do attitude, able to produce high quality work
Inquisitive and analytically mind, constantly building and refining process with rigour and diligence.
Eligibility to work in the UK
Terms
This role is a permanent position seeking 20 hrs/wk. The working pattern can be mutually agreed and there is lots of flexibility around this (so long as communicate via the teams shared calendar). There is 23 days of annual leave + bank holidays pro rata. The role can be worked remotely or in the London office (Farringdon) or a combination of both. There is a three month probation period.
