The Role
The People Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day to day delivery of core HR services to our clients employees and managers based in the UK, to effectively deliver the People Strategy. The people operations functions is a key function in ensuring the smooth running of the business, and empower employees, facilitate day-to-day work life and support managers with their people management responsibilities. Create a seamless experience for our clients employees.
We’re looking for a proactive people generalist who is highly collaborative as well as always being keen to think and plan one step ahead. Working closely with our clients Head of People, you will be responsible for implementing all of our clients end-to-end people processes.
Core Responsibilities
● Responsible for the delivery of operational HR services throughout the employee lifecycle. These services include: onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, data & systems, compliance and risk management, payroll and bens, policies and processes.
● Work with Head of HR to identify operational risk and priorities and ensure practices are put in place
● Create and manage all HR policy documentation and ensure all resources are available on our clients resource hub for all employees
● Manage benefits administration and oversee HR payroll activities
● Work closely with the Head of People on ad-hoc projects
● Build and maintain strong relationships across the business
● Focus on continuous improvement – Identify any process inefficiencies to improve service delivery of HR services
● Case management for all people related issues such as: performance management, grievances, disciplinaries absence management
● Managing all cases of family leave and sickness absence
● Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all right to work process and documentation and ensuring all new starters are eligible to work in the UK, managing sponsored visa applications
● Responsible for ensuring all HR systems are up to date and employees are able to access and use HR systems
● Provide a customer-oriented approach to HR service delivery and ensure employee queries are answered and dealt with promptly, with their wellbeing and engagement as a high priority.
The Candidate
● Strong knowledge of employment legislation and strong employee relations experience, ideally within a related sector / fast growth environment
● Strong HR generalist experience at Manager + level
● Strong knowledge with regards to diversity and inclusion
● Organisation — you’re process-driven with strong stakeholder management skills and you can run multiple processes at pace
● Empathy — you’re a strong listener and build trust easily
● Demonstrate proactivity, flexibility and drive — you’re always one step ahead of the curve, respond well to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment
● Experience of the entire employee lifecycle
● Ability to liaise at all levels within the business
The Terms
This new and exciting role is being offered with highly flexible terms. The role is highly flexible and, being new, is being offered with part time hours available, with anything up to full time hours for the right candidate, our client work in a location agnostic style, meaning their teams have freedom over when (within reason and with key core hours of 10 to 4) and where they work, with attractive London offices and excellent remote working connectivity and systems.
A broad salary range is available against the role, therefore this could work for an HR professional, looking for further development, on a part or full time basis or a more senior HR professional on a part time basis.
