Our Team

The Corporate team in London has advised Clients on the full range of M&A, Private Equity, Equity Capital Markets and transactional work. Our clients include fast-growth companies, owner-managed businesses and large international corporates, family offices and individuals.

Some of the things we’ve been doing recently:

  • Advised US based client, CJK Group Inc., on the UK aspects of a c. $36,000,000 acquisition of an international group of companies.
  • Advised Fintech Innovation of the Year award winner Bought by Many Ltd on its acquisition of a stake in Vetbox Ltd
  • Advised Source BMX, the leading BMX supplier, on an investment by British Growth Fund and supported Source BMX on a trade purchase of brand Stay Strong.
  • Advised Seattle Sperm Bank, a US fertility business, on its strategic acquisition of a UK based laboratory.
  • Advised the vehicle managed by global wealth management business, Skybound Capital, on the acquisition of the global financial planning firm, Guardian Wealth Management (GWM).
  • Advised the shareholders of aviation tech business, Flight Calibration Services, on the sale of the shares to PE house, Literacy Capital Plc.

Your Role

Working as a Senior Associate within the team, you’ll have the opportunity to both work on and lead a varied and interesting caseload with a strong corporate focus and offers a superb opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise working as part of a successful team in one of the UK‘s leading law firms.

Irwin Mitchell is a client-focused firm and as such, you must be passionate about client care and maintain a professional demeanour even in challenging environments. Given the nature of the role, you will be able to work pragmatically with the ability to prioritise your workload as required.

Using your strong technical understanding and relevant market experience, you’ll work to participate in relevant practice development initiatives, take a proactive role in business development opportunities and keep up to date with changes in relevant law and practice. To drive best practice further, you will be an exceptional team player with strong leadership skills and possess the ability to work collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes for our clients and to develop other team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience providing corporate advisory services
  • Strong leadership and business development skills
  • A clear enthusiasm for this area of law and a commitment to securing the best outcomes for your clients whilst working under pressure
  • Experience of, and/or an interest in, international and cross border work.
