Talent Acquisition Advisor, Law Firm, min 30 hrs (ideally full-time), Hybrid, Greater London/Bucks/Herts Border & Remote, c£40K FTE (dependant on experience) and Benefits

The Role

Working alongside the Head of HR you will lead and co-ordinate all recruitment for practice groups and business support. To be responsible for the whole recruitment life cycle to include devising and delivering on recruitment strategy and ensuring best practice and consistency is maintained. This role is key to the firm developing their employer brand and awareness and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact to the future of the firms’ talent strategy. You will also have an interest in developing your broader HR knowledge across the employee lifecycle to support the internal clients, with the opportunity to receive development opportunities in order to expand the role to encompass a wider HR remit over time.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment

• Manage each recruitment campaign to ensure that the candidate experience is exemplary
• Advise TL’s on other resources including undertaking relevant assessment to determine employment status
• Coach recruiting managers on best practice recruitment methods including their interview style and technique
• Develop approaches to recruitment which support an inclusive and diverse candidate pool
• Develop own knowledge and be able to advise on the legal recruitment market in order to assist in providing market insight / analysis and advice on recruitment trends

Brand Awareness

• In conjunction with Head of Marketing develop the Firm’s approach to its recruitment brand so that maximum impact and consistency is achieved covering social media, web advertising and promotion of employee stories to attract candidates
• Be an ambassador for the company through development of brand materials to run alongside social media and website and increase the company profile within the local markets operated in to generate dialogue and discussion with candidate pools

Resource and Talent Management

• Establish LinkedIn recruiter processes and management of appropriate to HR recruitment needs.
• Fully utilise the functionalities of the candidate management systems (All Hires), attending user forums to ensure that the system is fully utilised and understood
• Trainee Recruitment and qualification
• Assume responsibility for the trainee lifecycle, from recruitment to seat rotation, seat reviews, performance management, qualification and trainee wellbeing

HR systems and information management

• Develop workflows and self-service approach to recruitment through AllHires and onboarding through Cascade, working in conjunction with IT.
• Responsible for the production recruitment MI data for regular Board reporting
• Compiling data and other information to participate in external benchmarking surveys and to support the BD team in pitches and salary review benchmarking.

Employee engagement

• Run the probation review process for all new joiners
• Support the Head of HR on ER cases at investigation stage

Other

• Champion internal administration processes to support our ISO accreditation in areas around document control, data retention, file management for recruitment
• Co-ordinate the regular review of policies amongst the HR team related to recruitment eg referral scheme to ensure it is market competitive

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following to be successful in this role:
• You will be CIPD or equivalent, or working towards an equivalent
• Ideally, you will have a track record in the recruitment of a wide range of individuals for professional services or financial service firms
• You will have at least 1-2 years’ experience operating in the recruitment space and some legal knowledge so that you can make an impact immediately.
• You will be client centric in your approach.
• You will see the opportunities to change and improve and you won’t wait for others to lead.
• You must be a team player. Our clients’ HR team are a small team and you must be able to work collaborative with your peers.
• Your style will be open, inquisitive and facilitative so you will know how to offer supportive challenge and guide managers to take positive action.

Desirable

Full UK driver’s license with own transport as there may be some travel between offices

Terms

The role is seeking a minimum of 30 hrs/wk and, ideally, full-time. The role will be a hybrid with time split between the clients’ offices and remote working. The client has its main offices in the Greater London area and Bucks/Herts border.
